Absentee ballots will be arriving soon. And, using previous years as a guideline, many of you will be calling or emailing to ask my opinion on the judicial races. This November there will only be one judicial race on the ballot in Collier County. In that race, voters will be asked to vote on who should be our judge for misdemeanor criminal cases (i.e. DUI’s, shoplifting, etc.) and for smaller civil cases including landlord tenant matters.
I am supporting Blake Adams who I have known and had the pleasure of working with for many years. Here’s why:
He has experience in landlord tenant matters*, civil matters**, and in criminal matters***.
He has a great temperament and patience--required traits to be an outstanding judge.
He has experience with judges. Blake was a Staff Attorney for the circuit judges and worked with over 30 of them. From this experience, he learned what it takes to be a good judge.
He is involved in the Collier County community. He has volunteered as a judge for Teen Court, has volunteered with Habitat for Humanity, and is involved with many other charitable organizations.
I hope you will join me and vote for Blake Adams for Collier County Judge in the upcoming election.

“As a business owner and fellow Collier County resident it is my honor to support and endorse Blake Adams for Collier County Judge. I first met Blake when I was a law student intern with the Staff Attorney’s Office of the 20th Judicial Circuit more than five years ago. Blake was not only my supervisor but a true mentor. He has always demonstrated the highest level of competency and professionalism in everything that he does. As a former Staff Attorney, Blake is the only candidate who has directly counseled over thirty of our circuit judges and has first-hand knowledge of what it takes to be a good and fair judge. Blake’s ethics, temperament, knowledge, and wisdom are exactly what we need in our next county judge. If you want a judge who is committed to our local community and who will be fair and impartial to all parties, I urge you to join me in voting for Blake Adams on November 6.”

Dear Collier County friends,
I respectfully ask you to consider voting for Blake Adams for Collier County Judge. I have known Blake since law school, where his leadership qualities and intellect made him stand out among a talented and driven group of students. He has carried these traits into his community involvement, which will serve the county well.
Blake would also bring practical experience to the bench. Prior to beginning his career as an attorney, Blake had a successful business career and also earned an MBA, giving him real-life business experience few attorneys and judges possess. Additionally, he has extensive experience trying the types of matters over which he would have jurisdiction in this seat.
Blake’s experience, combined with his legal knowledge and inherent leadership abilities, make Blake the best choice for Collier County judge in November.

"For all my friends, Republican, Democrat, and NPA alike, who live in Collier County: One candidate for County Judge stands above the rest. Blake Adams is a friend of mine. I’ve gone against Blake as opposing counsel. I’ve seen his work. I know him as a brother and a friend. He is the best and most qualified candidate to serve as county judge. I know a couple of the other candidates in the race. I like and respect them. I don’t know a couple of the others, and hear nothing about them that shakes my steadfast belief that Blake is the best qualified candidate in the race. He will follow the law and be fair and judicious to every party appearing in front of him."

Dear Collier County Voters:
It is with great pride and zeal that I announce my endorsement of Blake Adams for Collier County Judge.
Blake first came to my attention in 2012 when he was a Staff Attorney for the judges of the 20th Judicial Circuit Court in Collier County. At the time, I was representing a client in a homicide case and noticed each time we had a significant hearing, the judge had Blake in the courtroom, listening very closely and feverishly taking notes. I learned that Blake was instrumental in assisting the judge with research, legal analysis, drafting the court orders, and providing valuable input regarding the motions argued and trial conducted. I came to know Blake as a consummate professional with a vast array of legal knowledge, a meticulous attention to detail, as well as a commitment to applying the law with fairness and integrity.
As my familiarity with Blake's legal knowledge and skills grew, so did my interest in convincing him to apply with the Collier County Law Offices of Kathleen A. Smith, Public Defender 20th Judicial Circuit, where I knew his knowledge, skills, sense of justice, and unmatched work ethic could be fully utilized and appreciated. Much to my pleasure, Blake joined the Public Defender’s Office in early 2014 where he met and exceeded all of my expectations.
In the four years since Blake joined the Public Defender's Office, he has proven to be an invaluable team member, and he has consistently taken on greater and more demanding duties and responsibilities including handling a large felony caseload, mentoring and training attorneys, representing the office at a variety of Agency and inter-Agency meetings, all while being an active member and volunteering his time with numerous organizations and charities. Upon my recent retirement from the Public Defender’s Office and with my highest recommendation, Blake was promoted to Collier County Deputy Chief.
During each of Blake's endeavors and successes, he has maintained a commitment to excellence and has continuously demonstrated a sense of duty to advance the highest standards of ethics and fairness in the practice of law. For all of these reasons and more, I proudly and zealously endorse Blake Adams for Collier County Court Judge. I strongly urge all Collier County residents to support Blake with your vote in the August 2018 election. If you are interested and able to assist with informing other Collier County residents about the supreme level of judicial quality Blake will bring to the bench, please consider supporting the Campaign.

Dear Friends, Neighbors, and Colleagues:
It is with great excitement and enthusiasm that I write to you today. First, to formally endorse and express my support for Blake Adams in his candidacy to become the next Collier County Judge for Group 2. Second, to respectfully ask you to join me in supporting Blake and endorsing him as well.
Blake formally announced his candidacy for Collier County Judge last month. I am supporting and endorsing Blake Adams for Collier County Judge because I believe he has a dedication to service, a commitment to the community, and the practical experience and legal knowledge to fulfill the responsibilities of County Court Judge.
As a former Assistant State Attorney, I had the pleasure of working with Blake when he served as a Staff Attorney for the 20th Judicial Circuit. In 2011, not long after I started with the Office of the State Attorney, Blake’s work on a case became easily recognizable. The court orders and appellate opinions Blake drafted for the circuit judges were based on accurate research, professionally written, and reflected an equal and fair application of the law. Blake continued serving the citizens and community of the 20th Judicial Circuit when he joined the Law Offices of Kathleen A. Smith, Public Defender. At this point, I worked more directly with Blake as opposing counsel, and I saw firsthand how Blake respectfully interacted with clients, expertly presented cases to the Court, and advised and assisted other attorneys. To this day, Blake remains committed to tirelessly working to ensure the law is accurately, equally, and fairly applied—a commitment I know he will carry forward as he continues to serve the residents of Collier County as County Court Judge.
To assist Blake in becoming the next Collier County Judge for Group 2, please consider supporting Blake by making a contribution, hosting an event, or making a formal endorsement of his candidacy. Please visit the official campaign website to learn more about his campaign and to stay updated on events.
Finally, on behalf of the Campaign Committee, I would like to invite you to our campaign kickoff event on Thursday, August 17, 2017, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at Riptide Brewing Company located at 987 3rd Avenue, N., Naples, Florida 34102. Please join us and show your support for Blake as we kickoff his endeavor to become our next Collier County Judge for Group 2.

Dear Collier County Residents,
It is my sincere honor to support and endorse Blake Adams for Collier County Judge. I have a significant, personal understanding of his legal expertise, his endless pursuit for justice, and his enduring support of the legal community.
As a second-year law student at Ave Maria School of Law, I had the privilege of interning at the 20th Judicial Circuit Court in Collier County, where I reported to Blake Adams in the Staff Attorney’s Office. During Blake’s review of my first assignment, he solved my primary struggle with drafting legal documents by asking one simple question, “Why do you write in past perfect tense?” Blake’s astute observation essentially corrected my legal writing skills and was one of the most beneficial events in my legal education. His guidance did not end there. Blake not only taught me practicable legal skills, he also instilled in me the importance of presenting and maintaining the highest degree of professionalism and ethics. My internship experience far exceeded expectations and ultimately transformed the direction of my law school education, as well as my professional career. I am now a successful Lead Contract Negotiator for the nation’s leading primary payor and authorizer of workers’ compensation claims. I have no doubt I would not be where I am today without Blake’s invaluable guidance and his sustained mentorship.
My formal endorsement of Blake Adams for Collier County Judge arises not only from his commitment to educating aspiring lawyers but more notably from his commitment to improving and cultivating the legal profession as a whole. I cannot imagine a more qualified individual to serve as Collier County Judge.
